Are there any special requirements for using FolderMill?

There are no special system requirements while the minimum requirements are listed below. Please, remember that you need to use licensed software and perform updates in a timely manner.

Microsoft Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7
or Microsoft Windows Server 2000 / 2003 / 2008
Both 32 and 64-bit systems are supported
Intel Pentium III 500 MHz or better
512 MB RAM or better
Disk Space Requirements: 50 MB for program files, min. 100 MB for output files (depending on anticipated workload), 100 MB of system disk space for a swap file
Required Software:
MS Office 2000 SP1 or higher (optional)
Latest version of free Adobe Acrobat Reader (optional)

Can I start/stop the FolderMill service using Administration Tools?

Yes, the FolderMill service as well as any other services may be started/stopped using the Administration Tools It should be kept in mind that if a large complex file is being processed, the service will take a while to stop as time is required to complete the current operation.
