Tutorials: Installation
- Select and configure the highlighted server to process files. Server configuration should provide users with access to allocated file system resources over a local-area network. There is no need to create Shared Folders for all situations at this stage. Network protocols and, possibly, server roles are sufficient.
- Install the version of the MS Office suite used by your organization. Select installation of all converters and filters. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required for correct operation.
- Install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (optional)
- You have to start these programs at least once to complete its initial settings and to ensure, that the latest updates are applied.
- Run the FMSetup.exe FolderMill installer During installation, you need to select the interface language and the installation directory.
- In addition, once service installation is complete, a Universal Document Converter virtual printer will be installed on the system.
During the installation process, a system restart may be required when prompted.
After the installation completes, the FolderMIll Control Panel may be started immediately for initial configuration.
